Dell Australia’s latest notebook, the Inspiron Mini 9, is a great starter computer at a very competitive price.
The Inspiron Mini 9 is tiny, measuring only 1.07 by 9.13 by 6.77 inches, and weighs a paltry 2.28 pounds. The 8.9inch LED backlit display features a super slick 1024-by-600-resolution via the Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics card, great for picture sharpness and reproduction of colour.
The Mini 9 features a 1.6-GHz N270 Intel Atom Processor, 8GB miniPCI SSD card
with 1GB of RAM, and a solid-state drive. Its four-cell battery can run for nearly 4 hours, far longer than many similar sized laptops on the market. It also features Wi-Fi, three USB 2.0 ports, a VGA out, an ethernet jack, an SD Card slot, plus Bluetooth and a 1.3-megapixel Webcam.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is a great first computer or super light laptop for people on the move. The stylish design and competitive pricing should put Dell’s first venture into the world of micro notebooks straight to the front of the pack.
