Reports in the tech community suggestthat Google is close to announcing the release of software and services which will enable mobile phone handset manufacturers to create Google powered phones - with projections that they could hit the market by as early as mid-2008! The Wall Street Journal has suggested that the Google-powered phones will use several existing and popular applications such as Google Maps, YouTube and Gmail. Unlike the Apple iPhone however, it is believed that Google is planning to make the phone’s software open source, which will enable independent software developers the code to produce their own applications to run on the platform - much in the same way that users can build applications for Social Networking sites such as Facebook.

An official announcement is expected in the next couple of weeks and follows on from Google extending its reach beyond browser and text-based, pay-per-click web search advertising into a variety of new markets, such as online video, television, print and radio advertising.

Dell Latitude D430 Notebook ReviewThe Dell Latitude D430 is a notebook for business users with a practical 60GB of storage space matched with an impressive battery life. Tests showed that under light use a six-cell battery would last 3 hours and 55 minutes or 1 hours and 56 mins under intensive use which is pretty good going for the business user on the move.

With a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor U7600 (1.2GHz) as standard you’ve got a pretty hi-spec processor for number crunching. As with most new laptops users have the choice of Windows XP or Vista (you may want to check if there are compatibility issues with any software you use and Vista) and the wide-screen monitor doesn’t affect the portability of the machine which is slim and lightweight.

Wireless Internet connectivity is included as standard and their Built-in WiFi Catcher switch helps you quickly find a network, even when the notebook is closed.

Price : AUD 2,640.00
Verdict : An excellent purchase for any worker on the move who needs a decent screen size matched with power and portability.

I came across this fantastic Viral clip on youtube from a company that produces blenders. No words from me can do it justice. Just sit, watch and enjoy!!!!

Will It Blend is an excellent marketing campaign from the American firm Blendtec who makes blenders. Gentlemen we salute you (although I could think of better uses for an Apple iPhone - like using it!!!).
