Having originally bought a 4GB iPod mini back in 2005, I recently run out of space as my iTunes music collection has expanded faster than my waist line! As I plan to start going back to the gym I decided to invest in a new iPod to make those long hours on the treadmill pass a bit quicker. When I originally bought the iPod mini it was mainly for it’s size and weight (for putting in my pocket whilst I pounded the streets) whilst providing a reasonable storage capacity of 5GB. The iPod mini has now been replaced by the iPod Nano which maxes out at 8GB for $349,00 but for the same price you can get a full 30GB iPod which although slightly larger you can store more music and videos (which you can display on a screen which is almost twice as big as that on the Nano). Dell Latitude ATGFor many people Dell is pretty much the ultimate brand to go for if you’re after the perfect business notebook. The Dell latitude D620 consistently tops the charts for business notebooks as does the D420 for its ultra portability. However, one area which is semi-new territory for Dell is that which has been termed the ‘ruggedised’ notebooks category – for those of us that need the additional security of knowing that the hard-drive can withstand those all too familiar shocks and accidental bumps. Having recently lost half the data on my Sony Vaio through an ‘accidental tumble’ I’m pretty well qualified to review Dell’s first foray in to the rugged notebook landscape - but doubt whether any notebook could withstand an encounter with the flagstones on my kitchen floor so I won’t be testing this one quite as thoroughly !
